At 60, Wolfson is young compared to other Cambridge colleges. It is essential that we reimagine our site and operations so that we can sustain the College and the planet for the next 60 years, and even the next 800. 

Planning for a sustainable future is a key part of our College Master Plan and will continue to be a priority as we further develop our physical site.  

We are proud to have recently finished our Kitchen Renovation Project. This modernised the Kitchen with a focus on sustainability; with gas completely replaced by electric appliances, an air source heat pump, and new insulation.  

Supporting the Sustainability Fund will help us to future-proof our College with similar projects such as:

• Adding to the existing solar panels on our accommodation blocks

• Improving the insulation of windows in student rooms to reduce heat loss

• Replacing old boilers throughout the College with air source heat pumps for better energy efficiency
